Initiator & Founder

Prof. Elmar Schüller

is the initiator, founder and president of the “Innovative Living Institute” as well as the managing partner of the iD-Engineering GmbH, an ILI company.

He is regarded as a globally established and sought-after economics, innovation and design expert, who has worked internationally as an industry designer for companies such as Krups, Siemens and Sieger Design.

In his 19 years as Managing Partner and Vice-President, Prof. Elmar Schüller has co-developed the renowned “red dot design award” into a global design currency. There, he analyzed many thousands of products each year.

He is a member of the jury for the internationally renowned “James Dyson Award” and the “FRANKfurtstyleaward”.

He also teaches at the “International School of Management – ISM” and is in demand as international lecturer.

Due to many years of worldwide activity, Prof. Elmar Schüller has a global network of experts from a wide range of industries. He has a unique flair for recognizing social trends and mechanisms and for transforming them in into entrepreneurial concepts.

With the foundation of the Innovative Living Institute, he aims to provide clients with the global knowledge and experience of his person as well as his network in order to develop future-oriented products and services based on their individual concerns.

Board of Experts

The ILI’s network consists of a large number of international specialists. Each of them has his individual focus. However, the added value of a cooperation with the ILI only arises through the combination of the different disciplines.

Members of the permanent ILI expert council are amongst others:

Richard Gehlen

Specialist in the development and management of international corporate brands, consumer brands, institutional brands as well as service and private label brands.

He supported brands such as Thyssen-Krupp, Kali und Salz, Bosch, Siemens, ratiopharm, TÜV-Süd, Nestlé, Oetker and Bitburger Pils. He also built up companies such as Rotkäppchen sparkling wine or Doc Morris into brands.

Prof. Johann H. Tomforde

Expert in the development of systemic overall scenarios and specialist in the conception and design of mobility systems and business models.

He designed the Smart and took over the management of the overall Mercedes City Car project at Daimler-Benz. In addition, he founded the Competence & Design Center for Mobility Innovations, Böblingen, from which the Teamobility AG emerged.

Tanja le Forestier

Expert in solution-focused transformation support and system design for the working world. She is also a lawyer, certified specialist in mediation and conflict resolution as well as trained coach.

She has mediated processes in the construction industry, cultural enterprises, service companies, in the health sector and in municipal administration.

Prof. Dr. Peter Oligmüller

Expert in administrative and European law, energy and environmental law.

He is a sought-after consultant and legal expert for major German industrial companies. In addition, he participated in hearings on new draft laws and arbitration proceedings on the interpretation of economically significant contracts.

Eckhard Schichtel

Architecture specialist in the planning and design of private and industrial buildings as well as in intelligent restoration of existing buildings.

He is regarded as a brilliant lateral thinker and manages to transfer business models into intelligent and unusual architectural concepts.

Prof. Dr. Arnd Jenne

Economic specialist and expert for the development of urban, residential and living concepts.

He is a business and municipal consultant with focus on urban development, retail, real estate project development and city marketing. Previously, he held management positions at Karstadt Immobilien AG, the German Institute of Urban Affairs and Starbucks Coffee Germany.
